The location was great! The property is small, which I liked and gies off a "family cabin" vibe. This place has saltwater stained windows, slightly dated bathrooms, sand on the floor (sorry about that), and tons of personality! I can't compare it to a hotel, because that's not what it is. Our room included a bedroom, separate from the living area, a small kitchen, and an oceanfront view from the deck. Our teen appreciated having his own space after spending the previous two nights in a hotel room with his parents. The hostess answered any questions we had. She offered to hold our room another night when we were worried about the freeway being closed due to fires (Thanks, Peggy!). We made it home, but really wanted to stay! I think Moolack Shores is a perfect getaway. We left with memories, sand on our feet, and smiles on our faces! We will stay there again, hopefully soon!

This was the coziest and most adorable place with themed rooms. We stated two different rooms, one was small super cute and cozy which was the nostalgia room, room two, then we decided to stay an extra night and move to a room next door. That was room three and I think it might have been called a lighthouse room with all the little lighthouses in it. And the view was absolutely amazing. We had a view from the nostalgia room but we had a better view in room three. It was super spacious and it had a stove and a fridge and we were able to cook a beautiful dinner with the sunset coming in from the big picture-esque windows. Property owner is Peggy, she is such a wonderful person. Great customer service and you leave as if you're old friends. Definitely recommend this place for a relaxing quiet fun vacation.

A small micro motel, they call an inn located just off the highway on the beach side. A bit dated maybe, a bit funky maybe, not for everyone maybe….but we loved this place. Our host Peggy was very welcoming and helpful. The room was very well appointed with everything we needed….plus. But if you are expecting the Ritz, this is not for you. After a lovely evening sitting on the porch with waves crashing (no highway noise) we had a great night rest in a comfortable bed. Stairs to the beach and a 5 mile walk made for a perfect morning. And the hot water was hot even though…that is one small shower. Will plan to stay here again for sure and would book more than a single night.

I love the spacious rooms that offer a separate tv area from the sleeping area. Very nice little kitchen set up with plenty of coffee, utensils, paper products etc. They also supply a box fan! Basically everything you need is in your room. I love the beautiful, low traffic beach that is just steps away. I love Peggy who runs the place. She’s the most friendly hotel host I’ve ever met. I’ve definitely made a new friend. Will always return to Moolack on future trips to Newport.

Location was perfect, that INN has zero rooms with a bad view. All have a window facing the ocean. Not to mention the fact that it’s right off the beach. Staff was friendly and I never had an issue checking in or getting my key. They also have direct access to the beach with their own personal staircase going down to the sand. The price was great too paying under $100 for a room.
