The view was beautiful! We liked the location, close enough to towns to find restaurants, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. It was nice having extra towels, dishware, silverware and extra paper products in the room. Peggy was exceptionally friendly, and we appreciated how she was in contact with us from before our arrival and during our stay.

Everything! We loved it so much we extended our stay which allowed us to stay in two different rooms. Our first room, The Marlyn Monroe room, had a side deck with an open view to the beach and ocean. It had a small sitting area with a comfy couch and small beverage station with plenty of coffee and a fridge as well as dining plates, cups, and utensils. Bed was comfy with a very cozy blanket. All rooms have easy access to the stairs leading down to an amazing beach. Our 2nd room was the Hunters room, which is really a small apartment as it had a king bedroom, a full kitchen with a high top dining table, a living room, and a large deck overlooking the beach. This room had full-on view of the beach and ocean from every room. While Maryln was great, if you are looking for an extended stay, book the king rooms. On top of all this, Peggy and the staff are wonderful hosts. Just north of Newport and south of Depoe, food and activity options were a short drive away. We took out several nights to eat on the balcony to watch the ocean and sunset. Finally, the beach is amazing. I think it is the last quiet beach in America! Highly recommend this place!

The location of this property is outstanding! It hangs right above the beach, and the beach is sparsely attended! Incredible sunsets and moonsets right from your balcony! The host even pulled together an impromptu cookout for the Fourth of July, and it was lovely to meet the guests from all over the country. There are many repeat guests, and you could sense a family-like spirit. Peggy, the host, goes above and beyond to keep in touch and be available, making you feel welcomed and well cared for. We saw whales and bald eagles: even a fledgling attempting to fly from the nest! Very romantic.

The proximity to the beach is amazing! I love that we didn’t have to drive or even walk very far to get to the beach. We also, liked that the beach was not crowded. A few time we were the only people on the beach. The view from our room was awesome. It was wonderful hearing the waves at night as we fell asleep. Peggy (I think she is the manager) was very responsive, helpful, and friendly when I had questions.

Amazing! Friendly and clean as always! Tidepools off the beach were absolutely amazing this year, hundreds of star fish to photograph and enjoy! Love the fireplace, we didnt use it but still really nice to have the option. Please tell your dog I say Hi!

I love the spacious rooms that offer a separate tv area from the sleeping area. Very nice little kitchen set up with plenty of coffee, utensils, paper products etc. They also supply a box fan! Basically everything you need is in your room. I love the beautiful, low traffic beach that is just steps away. I love Peggy who runs the place. She’s the most friendly hotel host I’ve ever met. I’ve definitely made a new friend. Will always return to Moolack on future trips to Newport.

The location was great! The property is small, which I liked and gies off a "family cabin" vibe. This place has saltwater stained windows, slightly dated bathrooms, sand on the floor (sorry about that), and tons of personality! I can't compare it to a hotel, because that's not what it is. Our room included a bedroom, separate from the living area, a small kitchen, and an oceanfront view from the deck. Our teen appreciated having his own space after spending the previous two nights in a hotel room with his parents. The hostess answered any questions we had. She offered to hold our room another night when we were worried about the freeway being closed due to fires (Thanks, Peggy!). We made it home, but really wanted to stay! I think Moolack Shores is a perfect getaway. We left with memories, sand on our feet, and smiles on our faces! We will stay there again, hopefully soon!

I loved the proximity to the beach, 51 stairs and I was there, I also liked that my room was facing, looking down the beach and I could see all the way to Beverly Beach area, and they were dog friendly, my dogs had plenty of space to check out.

A small micro motel, they call an inn located just off the highway on the beach side. A bit dated maybe, a bit funky maybe, not for everyone maybe….but we loved this place. Our host Peggy was very welcoming and helpful. The room was very well appointed with everything we needed….plus. But if you are expecting the Ritz, this is not for you. After a lovely evening sitting on the porch with waves crashing (no highway noise) we had a great night rest in a comfortable bed. Stairs to the beach and a 5 mile walk made for a perfect morning. And the hot water was hot even though…that is one small shower. Will plan to stay here again for sure and would book more than a single night.
